Keeping you moving!

Our bodies were meant to MOVE but sometimes we find ourselves in pain or sidelined altogether from the active life we enjoy.  Therapeutic massage focuses on soft tissue injury prevention and rehabilitation.  It is preferred by those in search of improved function, increased mobility and effective pain relief, while also helping athletes of any level prepare for, and recover from, strenuous workouts.  Massage cannot only help treat your current strains and tension, but be used as a method of preventing future injuries.  These include overuse and repetitive strain injuries whether they're from your daily activities or your training program.

Just a few of the many benefits of massage:
  • Alleviate pain and improve range of motion
  • Increase joint flexibility
  • Relax and soften injured, tired and overused muscles
  • Enhance immunity by stimulating lymph flow - the body's natural defense system
  • Improve circulation by pumping oxygen and nutrients to tissues and vital organs
  • Release endorphins - amino acids that work as the body's natural pain killers
  • Increase serotonin and dopamine, which can improve mood and decrease anxiety and depression

Each treatment is tailored to your specific needs and goals, employing effective techniques that produce the results you're looking for.

I’m a married mother of three (all teens!) who lives in the Wyoming/Grandville area.  Avid walker and sometimes runner.  I love learning about fitness, nutrition, a healthy work/life balance and how to apply all of that to my own life.  It’s a journey, not a destination, right??  I left the corporate world after almost 25 years in the customer service and manufacturing sectors to pursue a dream.  That dream is to help as many people as I can reclaim and sustain an active, pain free life.

Scheduling Policies

By appointment only, no walk-ins please.
A 24 hour notice of cancellation is required to avoid being charged for the full session cost or forfeiting that session from a package.  This allows the opportunity for someone else to schedule an appointment during that time.  This amount must be paid prior to your next scheduled appointment.
"No Shows" - anyone who either forgets or consciously chooses to forgo their appointment, for whatever reason, will be charged for the missed appointment.
Appointments changed less than 24 hours in advance may require prepayment to reschedule.

Please be on time, so as to guarantee your full session.  If you arrive late, the therapist will determine if there is ample time to complete your entire session, based on the time available between yours and the next appointment.  Regardless of the length of the treatment actually given, you will be responsible for the full session cost.  Out of respect and consideration for everyone's time, please plan accordingly.
Inclement Weather - If there is a blizzard warning Bodies in Motion will be closed.  If you have an appointment that day you will receive notice of cancelation.  When any hazardous road conditions exist, please be safe and call as soon as you can if you aren't able to make it due to weather.
